Kachemak Nordic Ski Club

Meets monthly at Cook Inlet Keeper September through May.



What is it?

Kachemak Nordic Ski Club maintains  over 70 kilometers of groomed trails at the Baycrest, McNeil Canyon-Eveline, and Lookout Mountain trail systems. All three areas are groomed for classic as well as skate skiing and are located close to the town of Homer. Each area offers varying terrain with opportunities for panoramic views of Kachemak Bay and the Kenai Mountain Range. If you enjoy the ski trails, consider becoming a member.

Special events like ski races and lessons throughout the winter.

Cost? Discounts?

Individuals can join for as little as a Basic $25 membership, Super User $50, or Patron $150 levels. Families can join at the $50, $100, $300 or more levels. Businesses can join with a cash membership or by making in-kind donations.

HOMER SAW AND CYCLE offers a 10% discount on all ski related items and a 15% discount on ski packages for all current members of the Kachemak Nordic Ski Club. You must ask for the discount. Membership forms can be filled out and turned in at Homer Saw and Cycle.

CHAIN REACTION SPORTS IN ULMER’S TRUE VALUE DRUG STORE offers a 15% discount on all ski equipment and winter gear to club members. There is also a 20% discount for all school ski team members and coaches, and all Junior Nordic participants. Chain Reaction will also provide a base prep free with your purchase of skis. Your membership should be current to qualify for this benefit. Be sure to ask about the discount for club members. Chain Reaction will honor all Alaska Nordic Skier address labels even if you are from Anchorage, Fairbanks, or the other clubs.

Volunteer Opportunities:

An entirely volunteer organization. Motivated teens are welcome. Coaching for Junior Nordic, seasonal trail work.
