What is it?

Kachemak Bay Family Planning Clinic offers resources and services for sexual and reproductive health, and healthy relationships. They can also provide advocacy, help with disabilities, counseling referrals, housing referrals, and transportation, as well as contraception, prescriptions, condoms, STD testing, pregnancy testing, and emergency contraception.

KBFPC operates on an income‐based sliding scale, making it possible for anyone who needs help to get it. Youth under 19 are eligible for Denali Kid Care, and under 22 for medicaid. Teens without medicaid or unavailable information from parents are eligible for free services.

Teens looking to work at KBFPC can do so by joining the AKPHAT team (Alaska Promoting Health Among Teens).

The PHAT team is a group of peer educators who teach sexual health and healthy relationships to other youth in the greater Homer area. Contact KBFPC or the R.E.C. Room for more information.
